An Introduction to TAPPING As a Great tool for Stress Release Instantly!
The body like everything in the Universe, is composed of energy. In recent years there has been a growing pool of undeniable research that proves what millions of people the world over have know for some time now. In 1980 Dr. Roger Callahan and his patient Mary had tried many standard techniques to rid her of her intense fear of water. It had caused her problems at all levels of her life. Her fear also caused her severe stomach pains. Dr. Callahan had recently studied Chinese healing arts and had learned about meridians. So he realized there is a acupuncture point for the stomach meridian on the cheekbone. He asked Mary to tap there, thinking it might help her with her stomach pain.
She tapped her cheekbone as directed. The response seemed miraculous to both Dr. Callahan and Mary. Two things happened simultaneously. Mary’s stomach pain disappeared and her phobia of water disappeared. So Dr. Callahan created Thought Field Therapy Gary Craig trained under Dr. Callahan and as time passed he observed scenarios in which practitioners tapped out the meridians points in the wrong order, yet the patient was still helped. Based on his observations he concluded that the process could be simplified and still be very powerful for the people tapping. EFT was born. Craig developed a simplified version of Dr. Callahan’s EFT.
Acupoint tapping sends signals directly to the stress centers of the mid-brain. EFT’s can access the amygdala, an almond shaped part of your brain where stress often starts. This is why EFT can create more balance and help release stress from that part of the brain.
