Happy Teachers Happy Students
Happy teachers are the best role models a student can have.
As Jack Canfield says, “The teacher as a person is more important than the teacher as a technician. What he is has more effect than anything he does.” Ben Franklin spoke of happiness frequently: ”Happiness is produced not so much by great pieces of good fortune that seldom happen as by the little advantages that occur everyday.”
Teachers are one of this country’s greatest resources and it is time for teachers to find their own niche in the educational world and be happy and fulfilled in their jobs. Teachers have a powerful impact on the students that they interact with on a daily basis.
The question is what is the nature of that influence?
- Are they teaching them to develop life long skills that will help them be healthy, happy, productive adults?
- Are they teaching them how to use their remarkable brains that research now show are capable of much more than anyone in education imagined?
- Are they teaching them to interact positively with a diverse population of children?
- Are they learning to develop a variety of thinking skills that will help them be successful in the world they are growing up in?
Genius often comes from finding a new perspective. This website explores the passionate world of happy teachers and techniques for them to use to help their students be happy while learning to use their brains and develop their creativity.
